60K Stretch Goal Unlocked!
almost 4 years ago – Wed, Jun 17, 2020 at 11:24:29 AM

Hello all!

I'm happy to say we've hit our 60K stretch goal, Book Improvements! This means both editions of the hardcover book will include heavier interior paper and ribbon bookmarks that should give them a more premium feel. Thank you all so much for the great past few days!

Since we are past the halfway mark in the campaign I also wanted to give a little more post campaign information. As stated before we will be using Backerkit to collect shipping information and fees, in addition you will be able to add-on extra copies of the book should you choose. The survey will likely be going out 3-4 weeks after the campaign ends.

I will be posting regular updates here on Kickstarter until the book releases to keep you all in the loop, share new artwork and page samples and to just let you all know we're still alive and working!

We'll also have some sample portraits to share with all of you next update that will show off a few more of the world's leading characters as well as give the Pontif Maximus level backers an idea of what to look forward to!

Thanks again everyone.

Expanded Stretch Goals!
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Jun 14, 2020 at 06:31:15 PM

Hello Everyone,

Hope you're all having a great weekend. Over the past two days we've blazed past the 45K stretch goal, granting expanded feats and spells, and we've nearly cleared the final 50K goal, expanded subclasses. This stretch goal will double the number of archetypes from 12 to 24, two for each of the base classes!

Tonight I'm happy to announce several new stretch goals as well.

At 60K we have Book Enhancements, this is a few general things to make the book itself look and feel nicer such as thicker more premium paper and a ribbon bookmark for both editions.

At 75K we have Chapter Artwork, this will allow us to have beautifully detailed full-page art for each of the chapters to help divide the books sections up a bit.

At 100K we have City Maps, at this level we will commission several high quality city and town maps to include in the book.

Thank you all so much!

Celtic and Illyrian Cultures Unlocked!
almost 4 years ago – Thu, Jun 11, 2020 at 07:17:44 PM

Hello Everyone!

My apologies for no update yesterday, I didn't want to spam you all everyday.

What an amazing past few days its been, we've blown past four stretch goals already. Expanded Backgrounds, Bestiary, Magic Items and now Cultures! You guys are killing it!

This is one of the more significant stretch goals in terms on additional content to the book. With this the number of cultures in the book is being expanded from six to eight, and the number of Pantheons from five to seven. The Celtic tribes of the isles and the Illyrians of Dalmatae join the fray!

Celts: Considered mysterious and primitive by the Mediterranean powers, the Celtic tribes, united under the warrior Queen of the Iceni, fight to repel the Roman advance through the isles. Dark rumors swirl about the Druidic rituals they perform deep within the untamed forests. More than one Legatus, finding his soldiers impaled and sacrificed, has declared the isles a cursed place. The Celts view the Romans with equal contempt, seeing them as heralds of foreign gods and bringing with them only death and thralldom.

Illyrians: The Illyrians of Dalmatae find themselves in a precarious position. Placed between Rome and the Greek states they have long caught the eye of Jupiter who sees them as obstacle between his two domains. This was not helped by the Illyrian deity Deipaturos declaring himself the true Sky Father, a title Jupiter sees reserved only for himself. The Greeks, though openly supportive of Rome, often view the Illyrians as a buffer state preventing a land border that many fear would lead to full annexation by Rome. Some even say they've even helped the Illyrians against Rome with supplies and information, though these are still just rumors. The Illyrian King for his part has tried to foster this and keeps friendly relations with several of the northern Greek rulers.

Thanks again everyone, have a great rest of your week! I'll be back with an update Saturday.

30K Stretch Goal Unlocked!
almost 4 years ago – Tue, Jun 09, 2020 at 09:22:36 PM

Hello Everyone,

What an amazing week it has been! As I said last update, Marcus and I had not been expecting to be funded this quickly into the campaign, nor to have hit two stretch goals already. I know I've said it a few times already, but thank you all so very much for your support!

With this stretch goal we see the Bestiary expanded. With this the Bestiary in the final book will see twelve additional mystical creatures added as foes to face!

We're also closing in the 35K goal which will see the total number of Magic Items expanded from 150 to 165!

We're funded!
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Jun 07, 2020 at 10:11:51 PM

Hello everyone,

I'm very happy to say we've fully funded, less than two weeks in to the campaign!

In addition to hitting our funding goal we've also hit the first stretch goal, expanded backgrounds! This will increase the number of backgrounds in the book from 15 to 20.

Marcus and I are blown away by the support you've shown for this project. Thank you all so much.

With 28 days left in the campaign we hope we can meet all of  our stretch goals and include as much content as we can!
